Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

Yesterday was pretty average for us.

A pretty respectable strike rate and no real surprises.

The two stand outs were the 18:00 at Southwell where our top rated horse, Contingency Fee, won at 11/2. Our second rated horse duly came second and the Forecast paid 48.37 to a £1 stake.

And in the 18:45 at Dundalk we got the first three in the right order. The Trifecta paid £17:20 to a £1 stake.

The new R6 Plus ratings had a similar day ending up with a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 27.27% and returning 20.735 points to the 22 points staked.

Two Pieces of Meat

A man walks into a bar, he sees two pieces of meat hanging from the ceiling. He asks the barman, "Why are those two pieces of meat hanging from the ceiling?"

The barman replies, "It's a competition which we run every night. If you can jump up and touch the meat, you get free drinks for the whole night."

"Great!" says the man, "but what if I can't reach them?"

"Then you have to buy all the drinks for everyone all night," the barman answers.

"Do you want to try?"

"No, but thanks anyway."

"Why not?", asks the barman.

"The steaks are too high."

Today's early test ratings show 33 rated races from five meetings.

Have a great day's racing!

As always...

My kindest regards
