Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

Well, yesterday was a pretty decent day with a respectable strike rate (for the top rated horse) of 31.58% and backing the top rated horse in every race (certainly not something that I would recommend) would have given you a POI (Profit on Stakes) of 21.528% to ISP.

I always say that its nice to start the day's racing with a Forecast or a Trifecta. Well, we didn't do that yesterday but...

We did get the first three in the right order in the second race; the Trifecta paid £80.70 to a £1 stake.

The other highlight was getting the Forecast in the 5:20 at Newcastle - the Forecast paid £24.33 to a £1 stake.

Today is obviously a massive day with eight meetings; I'll report back on how we did tomorrow morning.

Something to make you smile...

Biological Survey

According to the Knight Rider News Service, the inscription on the metal bands used by the US Department of the Interior to tag migratory birds has been changed.

The bands used to bear the address of the Washington Biological Survey, abbreviated as "Wash. Biol. Surv."; until the agency received the following letter from an Arkansas camper:

Dear Sirs:

While camping last week I shot one of your birds. I think it was a crow. I followed the cooking instructions on the leg tag and want to tell you it tasted horrible.

The bands are now marked "Fish & Wildlife Service."

Today

Today's early test ratings show 55 rated races from eight meetings.

Have a great day's racing!

As always...

My kindest regards
