Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

An average day for us yesterday.

Although, we did rather well with the forecasts and trifectas.

I have re-visited my forecast strategy (I mentioned it last year but never got round to finishing it) and, with a very simple system I have found something rather interesting.

I am working on 2 years of data and, thus, I have to go back through the Racing Post to find the prices paid for the forecasts.

Really, rather boring.

For January 2018 I had 54 selections and 12 forecasts paid.

That gives an initial strike rate of 22.22%

However, the profit for the month was only £13.11

But, I guess that that equates to a 24.28% profit on stakes.

Once I have retrieved all the the historical prices I may be able to add another filter to reduce the number of selections and improve the profit on stakes.

I'll update you once I've got more details...

Unless, of course, my fingers fall off from all that scrolling through the Racing Post historical results.

For more detail of yesterday's results, here are the results in the Traffic Light Results PDF format... Yesterday's Traffic Light Results
