Morning News

Good morning...

An early Morning News today as I've been up since midnight working on getting the automation of CompassRatings.com (Hong Kong ratings based upon the magic formula from AdvanceRatings.com) finished.

Up until now I have been manually producing these ratings for my own testing purposes only.

However, if I continue to do that, and share those ratings with you (or others), then I'll be committing to spending about 12 hours a week doing grunt work.

Far better that I automate the process so that it'll only take up about 30 minutes a week of my time.

There were no winners yesterday but we got a reverse forecast and two combination trifectas which all paid pretty well; I show the details below.

I've also done some analysis of our historical results for Clonmel; you'll need to scroll down to see that.

I guess that, based on our historical performance, the two standout races today are...

15:00 - A Handicap Hurdle - historical strike rate of 18.99% with a historical POI of 11.62%

15:30 - A Beginners Chase - historical strike rate of 26.67% with a historical POI of 14.00% - Bitsandpieces (our top rated horse in this race) has a confidence level of 200%.

As you can see from the image below, we tend to do better at 17, 20 and 24 furlong races.

A little boy goes to his dad and asks, 'What is Politics?'

Dad says, 'Well son, let me try to explain it this way:

Your mother is the administrator of the money, so we call her the Government.

The nanny, we will consider her the Working Class.

So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said.

Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him.

He finds that the baby has severely soiled his nappy.

So the little boy goes to his parent's room and finds his mother asleep.

Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room. Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny..

He gives up and goes back to bed.

The next morning, the little boy say's to his father, 'Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now. '

The father says, 'Good, son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about.'

The little boy replies, 'The Prime Minister is screwing the Working Class while the Government is sound asleep. The People are being ignored and the Future is in deep shit.'
