Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

A day away from the computer seems to have worked wonders; at least, as far as the results are concerned.

I won't be able to do much work over the weekend but I am hoping to tie up many of the loose ends next week.

In retrospect,

Trying to so the Speed Ratings whilst I was busy with the Winter Upgrades (and my work on Dutching) has proved to be an error but, it is now nearly done so it'll all end well.

Anyway, let's take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 29.03%.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 83.7 units returned to 91 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, 91.98%

If you'd blindly backed the top rated horse in all the rated races, you'd have had 29.44 units returned for 31 units staked.

However, if you'd blindly backed the second rated horse in all the rated races, you'd have had 30.56 units returned for 31 units staked.

And, if you'd blindly backed the third rated horse in all the rated races, you'd have had 26.75 units returned for 30 units staked.

Now, I'm not suggesting that you blindly back all the top rated horses (or 2nd rated horses) but these numbers do say something about the accuracy of the ratings.
