Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

The last few weeks have been a bit difficult for me...

After the debacle of moving my IT around and,

Getting the ratings out earlier,

I am sort of getting into a better structure for doing my BAU (Business As Usual) work.

As a result...

Whilst the normal ratings are now coming out earlier,

It looks like the Morning News email may start coming out a bit later.

From tomorrow you should receive the Morning News email between 8am and 9am.

I hope that this doesn't disappoint too many of you.

I have a number of projects going on and...

The additional work that I took on during the period where there was no racing has massively increased my workload now that racing is back.

As an aside,

There is a new law in France (currently about to be implemented) which means that we all have to wear masks in any enclosed public place.

My village supermarket has put up a sign on their door stating that they won't allow anyone to enter unless they are wearing a mask.

I'm not sure if it is the same in the UK (or Ireland) but, to my mind, it seems the right thing to do.

Compass Ratings

There were 9 races at Happy Valley yesterday.

It was another disappointing meeting for us with...

Just 2 top three rated winners.

I think that we are long overdue a return to form.

Spotlight Ratings

There are no Spotlight Ratings today.

I am only interested in rating the quality races and thus...

Am resisting the temptation to rate any old race that comes along.

Something to make you smile...

Easy Computer Fix...

I received this from a CEO that I worked with a few years back. He doesn't want to admit it but I think this is his true experience.

I was having trouble with my computer so I called Richard, the 11 year old next door whose bedroom looks like Mission Control, and asked him to come over.

Richard clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem.

As he was walking away, I called after him, 'So, what was wrong?'

He replied, 'It was an ID ten T error.'

I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, 'An ID ten T error? What's that? In case I need to fix it again.'

Richard grinned. 'Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?'

'No,' I replied.

'Write it down,' he said, 'and I think you'll figure it out.’

So I wrote down: I D 1 0 T

I used to like the little sh*t
