Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

A quiet day in terms of races but...

What a day!

Yesterday, if you had blindly backed every top rated horse you would have made a profit on stakes of 16.33%

I wasn't actually watching the results come in as I was busy getting Change in Distance into the new ratings PDF.

Anyway, I'll get to that, firstly let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 38.89%.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 37.5 units returned to 55 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, 68.18%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 20.94 units returned to 18 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, 116.33%

2nd Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the second rated horse in all of the races you would have had 14.83 units returned to 18 units staked. The Second Rated Profit Index was, thus, 82.39%

3nd Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the third rated horse in all of the races you would have had 1.73 units returned to 19 units staked. The Third Rated Profit Index was, thus, 9.11%

Navan 13:45:00 - The Tricast/Trifecta paid £73.90

Winners

From the 19 rated races there were 13 winners (from the top 3 rated horses.) 2 of those were at nice prices.

Course Time Horse ISP BSP
Navan 14:50 Forever Gold (8) 5.50 6.32
Market Rasen 15:10 Stopped Out (3) 7.00 6.8

Comments...

Yesterday I mentioned that I would monitor those races where all the top three rated horses had forecast prices of 4.0 or more with a view to doing the Reverse Tricast in them.

There were 8 such races yesterday and they yielded the one £73.90 Trifecta. It was a 13 horse race. Thus, a profit of £37.90 would have been returned to £36 staked.

I'll be having another look at this today.

The Portfolio

There was neither a Banker's Bet nor a Chancer's Bet yesterday.

On the Portfolio Page there is now a link to the Banker's Bet Proofing Page and, also to the Chancer's Bet proofing page.

You may subscribe to my Portfolio. To do so, you need to go to your Members Page and change option 4 on the Your Profile bit.

If you haven't subscribed, the button will say Yes - just click on it and you'll be signed up.

Any Other Business

Yesterday I managed to add Change in Distance to the new format ODF that will display the Speed Ratings.

This will show whether a horse is running at a longer race (or shorter race) than it's last time out.

It'll primarily be of use when combined with the speed ratings.

I'm also about half way through the mini manual/cheat sheet for the new format ratings pdf.

Today

Today's early test ratings show 20 rated races from three meetings.

Today is going to be a bit of a catch up day for me. I shall be catching up on all my outstanding emails so, if you have emailed me recently and not had a reply, it'll happen today.

Have a great day's racing!

5 star ratingsOnce again, if you've got anything to say about Focus Ratings, please wander over to the Focus Ratings Review at Tipsters Review and have your say.

The income that we make from sign ups from that site keeps me in Red Wine and Smelly Cheese!

As always...

My kindest regards
