Good morning...

Yesterday, I found a bug in the spreadsheet that displays the historical data for the new portfolio system.

I have fixed the bug and updated the spreadsheet.

The current (updated) spreadsheet may be found at R9-Portfolio-Special.xlsx

This shows the 7 mini systems based upon R9. These give about 25 races a week and are as follows...

1). 5 Runners or less: 2.36 races a week, 56.97% SR & 58.32% POI
2). 130% + Confidence: 2.77 races a week, 52.20% SR & 67.24% POI
3). Winner LTO: 5.41 races a week, 41.29% SR & 23.17% POI
4). Clear Favs: 5.05 races a week, 41.67% SR & 29.97% POI
5). High FC Prices: 2.75 races a week, 22.90% SR & 56.64% POI
6). Recent Returners: 4.81 races a week, 36.57% SR & 32.75% POI
7). Beaten Favs: 1.70 races a week, 44.02% SR & 72.16% POI

The spreadsheet now shows the actual selections that would have been produced over the last 5 years.

It also shows a chart.

The chart shows data working to a 50 point bank; at no point was the bank even remotely threatened.

The average profit is 36.42 points per month (working to a 50 point bank.)

Starting with a 50 point bank (to level stakes), after the 5 years of the data set, the bank has risen to 2112 points.

Today I shall be working on the script to automatically produce these selections. Once that is done I shall show them on the R9 Portfolio Selections daily email.

Until I commercialise the R9 Portfolio selections (possibly about a week away) they are free to Focus Ratings, EarlyBird Ratings, Place Profits and Intelligent Betting (free or paying) members – just email me and I’ll put you on the list.

Currently there are seven micro systems that produce the selections.

However, I shall be adding new systems and will implement a monthly review to automatically select the best 5 systems from the pool of systems.

This should smooth out the line on the chart and provide more consistent results.

You will be able to see what I am working on and, more importantly, what progress I am making.

Here are the current tasks...

T01). Work out a number of strategies to utilise R9 and provide Focus Rating members free Portfolio Betting selections across a number of different betting strategies (win backing, place backing, dutching, laying and,
the other thing that I described that I don't know what it is called) on a daily basis.

T02). For Compass Ratings, display, on screen and via a email PDF, the twice weekly updated trainer/jockey win/place strike rates.

T03). For Compass Ratings, complete the eBook that explains all the weird and wonderful things that I have learned about Hong Kong Horse racing.

T04). Complete PaperTradeIt.com - a free site where you can privately log your bets and get Strike Rate, POI (to ISP and BSP) data and losing run analysis on those bets.

I'm trying to knock off the easy/quick jobs first in order to reduce the size of the list; the size of the list scares me sometimes and, believe me, I have twice as many jobs on the Admin/BAU (Business As Usual - things like automated scripts, backups and server log file analysis - stuff that all website owners have to do) task list to get through as well.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 82.01 units returned to 98 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -16.32%

Top Rated Horse - There were 10 winners from the top rated horses from 33 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 32.05 units returned to 33 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -2.88%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 8 winners from the second rated horses from 32 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 41.46 units returned to 32 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, 29.56%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 2 winners from the third rated horses from 33 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 8.5 units returned to 33 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -74.24%

Non Handicap Races - Top Rated Horse - There were 8 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 3 Top Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for Top Rated Horses) was 37.5%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 5.6 units returned to 8 units staked. The Top Rated Non-Handicap Profit Index was, thus, -30%

Non Handicap Races - Top Three Rated Horses - There were 8 non-handicap races yesterday. From these races there were 5 Top Three Rated winners. Thus, the Strike Rate (for the Top Three Rated Horses) was 62.5%

There was this little boy about 10 years old walking down the sidewalk dragging a flattened frog on a string behind him.

He walked up to a brothel and knocked on the door.

When the Madam answered, she saw the little boy and asked what he wanted.

The Madam figured, why not, so she told him to come in.

He said,"I heard all the men talking about having to get shots after making it with Amber. THAT'S the girl I want!"

Since the little boy was so adamant and had the money to pay for it, the Madam told him to go to the first room on the right.

He headed down the hall dragging the squashed frog behind him.

Ten minutes later he came back, still dragging the frog, paid the Madam, and headed out the door.

The Madam stopped him and asked, "Why did you pick the only girl in the place with a disease, instead of one of the others?"

He said, "Well, if you must know, tonight when I get home, my parents are going out to a restaurant to eat, leaving me at home with my baby-sitter. After they leave, my baby-sitter will have sex with me because she just happens to be very fond of little boys. She will get the disease that I just caught. When Mom and Dad get back, Dad will take the baby-sitter home. On the way, he'll jump the baby-sitter's bones, and he'll catch the disease. Then when Dad gets home from the baby-sitters, he and Mom will go to bed and have sex, and Mom will catch it. In the morning when Dad goes to work, the Milkman will deliver the milk, have a quickie with Mom and catch the disease, because that damn mailman is the son-of-a-bi*ch who ran over my FROG!"
