Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

We had a sort of average day yesterday.

Nothing much to shout about, or complain about either.

I didn't actually watch the results coming in as I was flitting around trying to tie up many of the loose ends that I've been ignoring for the last few weeks.

I am going to try to do an Ante Post Ratings for the Supreme Novices Hurdle today but...

I have to admit having some misgivings as I have no idea what the Going is going to be on the day.

Anyway, I'll give it a go to see what it looks like.

But, as time is pressing (for me), let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 22.22%.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 53.53 units returned to 77 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, 69.52%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 20.28 units returned to 27 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, 75.11%

2nd Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the second rated horse in all of the races you would have had 15.25 units returned to 22 units staked. The Second Rated Profit Index was, thus, 69.32%

3nd Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the third rated horse in all of the races you would have had 18 units returned to 28 units staked. The Third Rated Profit Index was, thus, 64.29%

Today

Today's early test ratings show 34 rated races from 5 meetings.

I need to get on with the Speed Ratings and the Ante Post Ratings so I can't really spend too much time on the Morning News today.

I will mention, though, that the last few days there has been a problem with the Highest Average R4 PDF on the morning ratings email.

The problem appears to be that the server is too fast (which is a nice problem to have) and actually sends the email out before the script that generates that report has finished running.

I've put some pauses into the primary script and that should sort the problem out.

Anyway...

Have a great day's racing!

5 star ratingsOnce again, if you've got anything to say about Focus Ratings, please wander over to the Focus Ratings Review at Tipsters Review and have your say.

The income that we make from sign ups from that site keeps me in Red Wine and Smelly Cheese!

As always...

My kindest regards
