Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

Well...

I seem to have slightly overslept and, to be blunt,

I can't say much about yesterday's racing as, to be honest,

There really isn't much to say!

The Strike Rate was decent enough.

Once again, you could have made a profit by blindly backing the second rated horse; there seems to be a trend there and perhaps more work needs to go into looking at that.

There was a £170 Reverse Trifecta in the last race of the day and you'd have done quite well by doing the reverse trifecta in all applicable races yesterday.

But, apart from that...

Nothing stands out.

So, let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....

Yesterday's Results

Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 30%.

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 43.51 units returned to 55 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, 79.11%

Top Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 17.26 units returned to 20 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, 86.3%

2nd Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the second rated horse in all of the races you would have had 20.75 units returned to 20 units staked. The Second Rated Profit Index was, thus, 103.75%

3nd Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the third rated horse in all of the races you would have had 5.5 units returned to 15 units staked. The Third Rated Profit Index was, thus, 36.67%

If you'd spent £24 doing 20p Reverse Trifectas in all 20 races yesterday you'd have walked away with about £12 in Chinese Takeaway funds as a result.

From the 20 rated races there were 14 winners (from the top 3 rated horses.) 3 of those were at nice prices.

The Portfolio

There was neither a Banker's Bet nor a Chancer's Bet yesterday.

On the Portfolio Page there is now a link to the Banker's Bet Proofing Page and, also to the Chancer's Bet proofing page.

You may subscribe to my Portfolio. To do so, you need to go to your Members Page and change option 4 on the Your Profile bit.

If you haven't subscribed, the button will say Yes - just click on it and you'll be signed up.

Today

Today's early test ratings show 19 rated races from three meetings.

As I've overslept and as it's peeing down with rain I guess that there's nothing for it but to either crawl back into a nice warm bed or...

Do the decent thing and get on with the Speed Ratings.

Have a great day's racing!

5 star ratingsOnce again, if you've got anything to say about Focus Ratings, please wander over to the Focus Ratings Review at Tipsters Review and have your say.

The income that we make from sign ups from that site keeps me in Red Wine and Smelly Cheese!

As always...
