Good morning...
Ho Hum...
What can I say?
Our top rated horse came first in 47.06% of all races.
Our top rated horse came in the first three in 82.35% of all races and...
Strangely enough, 82.35% of all races were won by a top three rated horse!
Needless to say, I'm waking up with a bit of a smile on my face this morning.
Not so many forecasts and tricasts, I do have to admit but,
You can't have everything.
Anyway, I'll get to that, firstly let's get on and take a quick look at yesterday's results in more detail....
Yesterday's Results, show a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 47.06%.

2nd Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the second rated horse in all of the races you would have had 3 units returned to 18 units staked. The Second Rated Profit Index was, thus, 16.67%
3nd Rated Horse - If you had blindly backed the third rated horse in all of the races you would have had 32.75 units returned to 19 units staked. The Third Rated Profit Index was, thus, 172.37%

Those of you who were up at 3am might have noticed that I published a new post about a free horse racing book.

Live Ratings Results
From tomorrow I shall be showing (around about here on the Morning News) the results of the Live Ratings.
This is, obviously, in addition to the normal ratings.
The Live Ratings are consistently better than the morning ratings but are only of any use to those of you that have access to the internet during the day.
However, I shall be producing a Smartphone/Tablet App to show the Live Ratings and, in a addition, will be providing a service where you will be able to receive an email every time there is a change to the ratings.
You will have to opt in to that service so don't worry about being inundated with unwanted emails; there would have been two yesterday but I expect that there will be quite a few during the summer when the Flat season is underway.
Additionally (and quite bizarrely), there will also be a new page on the site which, when opened, will beep and read out any changes to the ratings when they occur.
Today's early test ratings show 24 rated races from three meetings.
I had an excellent day with the Speed Ratings yesterday and am getting quite excited about them.
However, in a way I'll be glad when all the work is done as I'll have more time to pontificate on today's racing and to work on various strategies for using the ratings.
Have a great day's racing!
Once again, if you've got anything to say about Focus Ratings, please wander over to the Focus Ratings Review at Tipsters Review and have your say.
The income that we make from sign ups from that site keeps me in Red Wine and Smelly Cheese!
As always...
My kindest regards
