Good morning...

I must be in a good mood as...

Even the less than average results yesterday don't seem to faze me.

I seem to have got a lot of work done yesterday and that always makes me feel good.

Perhaps that's why I seem to have overslept; I've just had the best night's sleep for months!

There is plenty more work lined up for today; I want to finish the Lowest on Yield Strategy, show you the new system that one member suggested and I also have had some thoughts about the relevance of courses.

So, a pretty well loaded day and my keyboard has just decided to die (I get through a lot of keyboards each year.)

The Overall Profit Index. If you had blindly backed every top three rated horse in all of the races you would have had 53.55 units returned to 61 units staked. The Overall Profit Index was, thus, -12.21%

Top Rated Horse - There were 4 winners from the top rated horses from 21 Races. If you had blindly backed the top rated horse in all of the races you would have had 8.8 units returned to 21 units staked. The Top Rated Profit Index was, thus, -58.1%

2nd Rated Horse - There were 6 winners from the second rated horses from 20 Races. If you had blindly backed the 2nd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 30 units returned to 20 units staked. The 2nd Rated Profit Index was, thus, 50%

3rd Rated Horse - There were 3 winners from the third rated horses from 20 Races. If you had blindly backed the 3rd rated horse in all of the races you would have had 14.75 units returned to 20 units staked. The 3rd Rated Profit Index was, thus, -26.25%

We made a loss of 1 point on the day and have made a profit of 4.507 points for December.

For the new strategy we made a loss of 1.356 points on the day an have made a profit of 0.343746 points for December.

I have added a new section to the spreadsheet to indicate the results should we ignore the odds on selections.

For the refined strategy (the one that you should be using) we made a loss of 1.356 points on the day and have made a profit of 1.021746 points for December.
