Morning News (or not!)

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

Hi, just a quick note to say that there's no morning news today.

Yesterday's results were reasonable rather than wonderful but I've got a load of work to do if I'm to be starting to announce R5.

Thus, I just need a day off.

I find myself surrounded by six computer screens, way too many spreadsheets and I really think that a day off would be rather productive.

I'm hoping that, from Monday, I'll be publishing an Expert Ratings version (showing R5) on the ratings PDF on the normal ratings email.

This will show my transition from R4 to R5.

There might be a test version on Sunday - please try to ignore that - it'll only be a test version, just to test that the link works.

In addition, I shall be doing some work on the 2.50 at Newcastle, the Eider Chase. I've got a feeling that I should be able to start doing some Ante Post stuff for the bigger races in the future.

Our early morning ratings currently show Rocking Blues as the top rated horse but...

There is very little in ratings between the top three rated horses so I wouldn't bet your mother in law's kidneys on that race (unless you really don't like your mother in law!)

However, it might an interesting race to dutch?

Only Cork Citizen has improved over their average rating.

The 2nd rated horse, Lackamon, has had the best history.

My personal preference (and bear in mind that I'm not a tipster) would be a place bet on Cork Citizen (currently 13/1.)

Anyway, whatever you do, have a great day's racing!

As always...

My kindest regards
