Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning... Well, yesterday was a pretty decent day with a respectable strike rate (for the top rated horse) of 31.58% and backing the top rated horse in every race (certainly not something that I would recommend) would have given you a POI (Profit on Stakes) of 21.528% to ISP. I always say that its nice to start the day's racing with a Forecast or a Trifecta. Well, we didn't do that yesterday but... We did get the first three in the right order in the second race; the Trifecta paid £80.70 to a £1 stake. The other highlight was getting the Forecast in the 5:20 at Newcastle - the Forecast paid £24.33 to a £1 stake. Today is obviously a massive day with eight meetings; I'll report back on how we did tomorrow morning. For more detail, here are the results in the Traffic Light Results PDF format... Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning... Yesterday was pretty average for us. A pretty respectable strike rate and no real surprises. The two stand outs were the 18:00 at Southwell where our top rated horse, Contingency Fee, won at 11/2. Our second rated horse duly came second and the Forecast paid 48.37 to a £1 stake. And in the 18:45 at Dundalk we got the first three in the right order. The Trifecta paid £17:20 to a £1 stake. The new R6 Plus ratings had a similar day ending up with a strike rate (for our top rated horse) of 27.27% and returning 20.735 points to the 22 points staked. Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning... I wish that I could say that yesterday was a wonderful day but... It be honest, it wasn't. It may have been better had Tramore not been abandoned but we'll never know. The only highlight was the 17:00 at Windsor where we got the forecast. Our top rated horse won at 8/1 and the Forecast paid £53.33 to a £1 stake. The new R6 Plus ratings did far better... 5 of the 16 rated races were won by our top rated horse; this equates to a strike rate of 31.25% 21.60 points (to ISP) were returned to the 16 points staked. Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning... It's always nice to start the day with a Trifecta and... That's exactly what we did yesterday. Alright, it only paid £14.40 to a £1 stake but it's a good start to the day. The new R6 Plus ratings did far better with 8 top rated winners from the 23 rated races. However, it was only a break even day as just 23.40 points were returned to the 23 points staked. For more detail, here are the results in the Traffic Light Results PDF format... Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning... Whilst the strike rate was more than acceptable yesterday... The prices paid weren't so good. However, I don't set the starting prices so I can't complain too much. For the new R6 Plus ratings we did slightly better... From the 17 rated races, 7 were won by a top rated horse. This equates to a strike rate of 41.17% 21.75 points (to ISP) were returned to the 17 points staked. Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning... Although there weren't any major standouts yesterday... The strike rate (for the top rated horse) was quite respectable and, Had you blindly backed the top rated horse in every race (not that I would recommend that) you would have even made a small profit to ISP. The new R6 Plus ratings did slightly better with a strike rate of 35.71% and a POI (Profit on Investment) of 48.18% to ISP. Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning... Well, yesterday was certainly a day for Forecasts and Trifectas. I've listed them below. Looking at the ratings first thing in the morning I thought that it would be a quiet day but, boy was I wrong? A 40% strike rate (for the top rated horse) isn't anything to sniff about and, had you blindly backed every top rated horse (not something that I would recommend) you would have made a profit of 56.52% on your stakes (to ISP.) The standouts for me, yesterday, was the 14:20 at Fairyhouse; a 28 runner race and we got the first three in the right order. Also, the 16:45 at Ffos Las - we got the forecast and it paid £158.52 to a £1 stake. That must have been some race as 6 out of the 14 runners Pulled Up. The new R6 Plus ratings didn't do so well but that's only to be expected as they seem to do better with higher quality racing. However, they did manage a 31.25% strike rate and a POI (Profit on Investment) of 30.43% (to ISP.) For more detail, here are the results in the Traffic Light Results PDF format... Morning News

focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning... Well, there's not too much to say about yesterday's ratings. The winners that we got weren't at high prices but we have days like that sometimes. As far as the new R6 Plus ratings are concerned there was a similar strike rate but slightly more in terms of returns. The only highlight was that the R6 Plus ratings did manage to winkle out Two Hoots (our top rated horse in the 15:15 at Sedgefield) who duly won at 13/2 (7.89 BSP.) I don't know what to say about today; it's really expecting a bit much for the ratings to manage ratings a 40 horse 37 furlong race but...4 For what it's worth, our top rated horse is Tiger Roll.
