Hello Mr. Keith,
I have been noticing something that may be an anomaly, recently. When a top rated horse gets beaten into 5th place or further back, it’s next outing has enhanced odds and frequently seems to move up the field and, often, to win its next race.
Would it be possible to include a tab/asterisk or something to indicate the horse with top rating on its previous race, to allow this to be investigated further?
I appreciate the limitations of space on the ratings sheets but it has, it seems, the potential to be both useful and profitable.
By the way, thank-you for such a consistent and reliable service. Muchly appreciated.
Best wishes, Derek (samboy2)
Hello Derek
I like the idea of betting badly beaten favourites and this is along the same lines.
I’ll see if I can get this implemented somehow.
All the best
Keith
hi keith,
i have been using your focus ratings for a considerable time and i like to look at various angles , i have a question sorry if this is not the right forum for it, but its in relation to average column next to the R4 rating, what does it represent had a nice winner last night at dundalk in 21:05 although i placed it but its r4 was 2.82 but Av was 4.39 the highest in the race, basicallt what does AV stand for couldnt find it in the handbook.
Regards
