So, I was reading a post on the forum last night, and an idea popped into my head.

Now, I hate it when that happens so I immediately took myself off to bed!

However, this morning I woke up at some ungodly hour and went straight to work.

And before I knew what had happened...

I'd somehow managed to write the basis for an alerts system for Focus Ratings!

As if I didn't have enough to do?

How it works

Actually it's about as simple as it gets...

Just go the the Alerts page and it will show all of your saved alerts and allow you to add more.

There are no limits on how many alerts that you can set.

You may choose to be alerted if a Horse that you are following is Top Rated or Top Three Rated.

You can also limit the selections to specific Race Types.

You will receive an email every day listing all the races where one of your Alert Horses is running.

At the moment the email will be sent out at about 10:30 am but I will try to make it earlier.

As there's no price relevant information, there's nothing to stop me sending out the alerts at 6am, for example?

You can obviously delete any alerts for any horses who are no longer racing.

And, that's about it, really...

I can't think of anything else to say?

In a way, I see the Horse Alerts as a natural extension to the Builder

I know nothing about Horse Racing but...

Obviously, you do!

So you may want to follow a horse that you think has performed well...

And get an email the next time it runs (on the Race Type/Race Type 2 combination that you have chosen) and is Top Rated (or, Top Three Rated - it's up to you?)

I hope that you find the Alerts useful.

Please give it a try out.

Even just for a bit of fun?

Anyway, whatever you choose to do, as always...

My kindest regards
