As you probably know, I currently up to my eyes in trying to implement and test the required changes for the move to R5 (as a Rating System.)
There is still a vast amount of work to do but I think that I'm getting there.
As promised, I'll keep you all updated (and, for you system punters, R4 will still be available even once we've moved to R5 as out standard ratings.)
As part of this process I am generating vast amounts of new data (which I shall share with you once we move to R5.)
However, this morning I received an email from someone who probably would rather remain nameless (thanks, Guy!) who was asking about the Results by Race Course spreadsheet that I produced a while ago.
I immediately thought... "Oh, b*gger it! I really ought to update that spreadsheet!"
But then I realised that I could spend the rest of my life updating those sort of things so I decided to see if I could automate the process (after all, the system now automatically updates many new tables to provide me with the required information that I need for R5), so I've spent the day doing just that.
As a result, you may notice on the sidebar that there are now 4 new tools (in the Tools section) for you to use.
For detailed information you might want to look at the Tools Page?
Basically, we now have the following new tools...
Results by Race Course - Course Order is a report that lists Win & Place Strike Rate by Course and basic Race Type (in Course Order.)
The report is generated automatically every night and contains data from the 7th of January 2013 up until the previous day's results.

Jockey Recent Form - Jockey Order is a report that lists Win & Place Strike Rate by Jockey (in Jockey Order.)
The report is generated automatically every night and contains data from the 7th of January 2013 up until the previous day's results.
In order to keep the report nice and tidy I only show results for those jockeys who have have 10 or more races since the &th of January 2013.
And, as I am interested in Recent Form, I only review the last 50 races for each jockey.

All of these new reports are updated automatically and contain results from Focus Ratings from the 7th of January 2013 up to yesterday's results.
You may notice some strange things about some of the reports?
For example, there are some National Hunt races shown at All Weather courses. These, I believe, were races that were run on All Weather courses because the original courses were frozen or waterlogged during January and February of this year.
I've got a whole load of other (and similar, automatically updated) reports to add - if you've got any ideas of what you want, just let me know.
As a final note; I (and one hard working Focus Ratings member - thanks Gerald) am/are currently testing a new (and additional) format TBE export file that allows TBE users to take into account non-runners.
I'll update you all when that has passed it's testing period.
My kindest regards
